Albany Georgia

Day 13 - 254 miles

Not much different today, my primary goal was to get to Albany to visit new friends.

I noticed the two primary crops being grown in Alabama, at least within site of the roads I traveled, are corn and trees. A lot of tree farms to support the lumber industries. It's clear that replanting, growing and harvesting pine is big business here.

Georgia has yet a totally different feel to it. Already some fruit orchards... of what I can only assume were peaches. And while Louisianna sported a lot of crawdad stands, peanuts are the standard here. The facilities to co-op the efforts of the peanut farmers are similar to what can be seen back home for the rice growers... or so it seemed to me, as a lay person.

Total miles: 3588
