Day 29 - 291 Miles

I'm on my own for one day, meeting Kip in Danville tomorrow so that I can see a friend and he can spend an extra day with Dori.

I drove to Danville via Crewe, Appomatox, and Lynchburg via US-460. I discovered 460more or less follows the route taken in Lee's attempt to join with the western army in Tennessee, but of course, as we all know, he was intercepted at Appomatox by Grant and surrendered there. I'd been to Appomatox before, so I didn't stop to take pics.

I also ran across a little rail museum in Crewe where I took these pics.
