Gettysburg

Day 25 - 283 Miles

Whether it's pink silos, horses of a different color, or just your average outdoors brass bed museum, driving through Virginia is always an adventure.

The trip to Gettysburg Pennsylvania was both harrowing, on the Interstate, and amusing on the back country roads I prefer travelng.

We rolled into Gettysburg and found our campground. You can see we have temporarily added to our band, Kip's wife on her new Valk trike. This is a nice campground, with all the facilities you could want, (including a pool, shuffleboard court, putt-putt golf, and best of all an icecream bar. We are near a small river , shaded by trees, and lush foliage.

There's usually plenty of daylight left because we like to set up camp early, so we hopped back on our bikes and started out tour of the battlesite, checking out the first day's positions where Buford's cavalry firt encountered and slowed down the southern forces. Seminary Ridge.

Total Miles: 6680
